   Gsus Lopez (Zamora, Spain, 1986) has directed award-winning short films, fashion films and music videos. A highlight is his short OUT (drama/comedy/LGBTQ+) screening at over 50 film festivals worldwide, then premiering online on FOTOGRAMAS (2019) and being included in the FILMIN catalogue.

   Since graduating with a BA in Media from the University of the Arts London in 2014, he has obtained a Screenwriting Diploma at the EICTV in Cuba (2019) and was selected as a member of the BFI Network x BAFTA Crew (2018-22), and Berlinale Talents (2015).

   Passionate about telling stories that explore the intersection between the LGBTQ+ experience and the working-class, he's developing a feature film titled THE DAM with Centuria Films and Begin Again Films. The project was selected for development at Dissident House, B3 Hessen Lab (Biennial of Moving Image in Frankfurt), ''Islands of Fiction'' – International Screenwriting Residency in the Balearic Islands (2022). It also won the Queer Cine Lab (2023) and took part in the Iberoamerican LGBTIQA+ labs network at the 72nd San Sebastian International Film Festival (2024).

   He lives in London.

Gsus Lopez (Zamora, España, 1986) ha dirigido galardonados cortometrajes, fashion films y videoclips. Destaca su cortometraje OUT (drama/comedia/LGBTQ+) que fue seleccionado en más de 50 festivales de cine de todo el mundo, estrenándose después online en FOTOGRAMAS (2019) y siendo incluido en el catálogo de FILMIN.

   Desde que se licenció con un BA en Media por la Universidad de las Artes de Londres en 2014, ha obtenido un diploma en escritura de guión en la EICTV de Cuba (2019), y ha sido seleccionado en BFI Network x BAFTA Crew (2018-22), y en Berlinale Talents (2015).

   Apasionado por las historias que exploran la interseccionalidad de las experiencias de la comunidad LGBTQ+ y de la clase obrera, actualmente está desarrollando un largometraje titulado LA PRESA, con Centuria Films y Begin Again Films. El proyecto ha sido seleccionado en los laboratorios “Dissident House", “B3 Hessen Lab" - Frankfurt Biennial of Moving Image, “Islas de Ficción" – Residencia Internacional de Creación Audiovisual de las Islas Baleares (2022), ganó el Queer Cine Lab (2023) y participó en las jornadas de industria de la RED DE LABORATORIOS LGTBIQA+ del 72º Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián (2024).

    Actualmente reside en Londres.
